Aertight Systems has been designing systems for 15 years, and has provided our clients many of the early generation mini pc's that have been used as thin clients, zero clients, and media PCs. We've installed mini pc's in industrial, commercial, and healthcare environments over the years because these clients wanted small footprint, fanless, and low maintenance PCs that would provide "basic" access to remote desktop servers and web based applications.
In these early days, very few clients really expected to do "much" with their Mini PC aside from having it act like a "dumb terminal" or Monitor. However, as technology developed, it eventually became possible for people to actually run programs on their Mini PC.
Aertight Systems, Inc. has built a Mini PC that has full Microsoft Windows Server functionality, and can compete performance wise with even some full traditional servers. We realize that our system isn't for everyone, but we listened to what clients told us about what they were looking for.
Here are some of the things clients told us they were looking for in a mini pc.
- As a small Kiosk- Clients told us they wanted an all-in-one system, with a touchscreen, that could function as a small kiosk. They did'nt want something as big as an ATM, but wanted something that could be securely bolted to the wall. The Aertight Server Platform fulfills this need.
- As a small control cabinet- Clients told us they wanted a mini pc that could mount on a wall and be the all-in-one control cabinet solution for their application. Our solution allows full windows PC or server use, with a touchscreen, and it can be wall mounted in closets and other out of the way areas that typical PCs and Servers can't go.
- As a warehouse PC- Clients wanted a rugged, all-in one PC, thats fanless, can handle the varrying temperatures of a warehouse, secure with no exposed ports and has a built-in touchscreen. Our Aertight Server Platform is just that and can handle almost any application you install on it.
